1. My most successful artwork would have to be the slab tile. It was most successful because i felt like it was a challenge for me but at the same time it was fun and really exciting to learn how to do a different thing to do with clay. I actually got to pick what design and the colors that i would like. The hardest part in doing it was the carving and trying to make sure that my hand didn't slip and hit the other things that would make me accidentally cut it off. But other than that it turned out to be very good and a success.
2. I had overcome the difficulty in the boxes by making sure that the sides all stayed connected to each other. It was pretty complicated with having to score and slip all the sides that were needed to be put together, you had to make sure that you scored enough and put enough slip on it so that it would stick together and not fall off. I overcame the obstacle of putting everything together and having it stay together and not falling off and breaking. I thought that i was going to mess it up but i chose the colors that i liked but also went with each other .
3. I believe that my two pieces that show my growth as an artist are the slab box and tile. They show growth by showing that i can do way more things other than just drawing or all the other popular things that you can do. I had gone out my comfort zone and tried something that was really new to me. The more i got a hang of the clay stuff and sculpting it i had gotten better than when i started.
4. I honestly had no problem with the amount of clay that i had gotten. I just used what i needed and if i didn't need it then i just took it off and put it back. The clay was really messy and felt weird mostly . The positive thing about working with just one material is that you didn't have to decide what thing you wanted to do with what. You just had one specific thing to work with and didn't have to chose so you could just get started faster on your project and get it done.
